About WIC APAC
Who We Are
World Immunotherapy Council Asian Chapter was founded by Dr. Bernie Fox and Dr. Joe Yeong in 2023. WIC Asia aims to promote international collaboration and exchange in the immunotherapy field, strengthening innovation and translational research in Asia. This is highly aligned with SITC’s mission to “Improve cancer patient outcomes by advancing the science, development and application of cancer immunology and immunotherapy through our core values.“
Speakers and attendees of this event are a mixture of immunologists and clinicians at the front line of cancer immunology, with researchers working towards breakthroughs in basic and translational research. The speaker list will be made up of world leaders in the field, many of whom already collaborate with each other, and there will be networking events aimed at providing an opportunity for new collaboration. There will also be an opportunity for early career researchers to learn more about how to become an internationally renowned researcher in the form of a panel discussion on this topic, and they will have the opportunity to meet senior researchers in the networking sessions and present their work in poster sessions. The first meeting was held in Shanghai, China in collaboration with Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital.
In 2025, partnered with Singapore institutes such as Singapore General Hospital, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore Society of Oncology, Singapore Society of Pathology and Singapore Academy of Medicine, the event extended invitation to Australia and New Zealand Society for Immunology (ASI) and Multi-omics (https://www.multiomics2024.org/) Australia to form Asia Pacific (APAC) Partnership.
