Presentation Preparation

ATTEND WIC 2025

Ready to Present? Here's What You Need to Know

We’re here to support your success. Access all the essential details to help you prepare a confident, clear, and engaging presentation that reflects your unique voice and vision.

Presentation Preparation Guidelines

All presenters must prepare their slides in Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 or later (Windows OS) using the 16:9 widescreen format. Slide decks must be named using the following convention:

<Reference Number>_<First Name>_<Presentation Title>
Example: S01.01_Joe_Test Title Slide

Important: Presenters are required to bring their final presentation file on a USB drive and upload it directly onto the laptop provided in their session room, either before the start of the conference or during scheduled breaks. If you are using an Apple device, please bring the appropriate HDMI or USB-C adaptor.

To ensure a seamless presentation experience, please follow the guidelines below:
  • Set your slide size to “On-screen Show (16:9)” in landscape orientation.
  • Use high-contrast colors and avoid red text or lines, which may be hard to see on large screens.
  • Keep text minimal: no more than 10 lines or 15–20 words per slide.
  • Avoid reading directly from your slides; use them to support your spoken message, not replace it.
  • Do not use special characters in your file name (e.g., “, Ö, Ø, ñ, ?, ®, }, {) to prevent compatibility issues.
  • Use standard fonts like Arial, Geneva, Times New Roman, or Helvetica. If custom fonts are used, embed them into your file.
  • Include a mandatory disclosure slide, even if you have no conflicts of interest.
  • Aim for one slide per minute to maintain audience engagement.
  • Ensure your presentation has a logical flow, highlighting key messages and ending with 2–3 take-home points.

Keeping your slides clear, concise, and visually engaging will greatly enhance the impact of your presentation.

Poster Presentation

All poster presenters at WIC APAC 2025 are required to bring a printed physical poster in A1 size (594mm x 841mm), which may be in landscape or portrait orientation. Posters must be mounted on the designated boards by 8:30 AM on 21 July 2025. Mounting materials will be provided onsite.

Please note that there will be no scheduled poster presentation sessions. Posters will be on continuous display throughout the two-day conference (21–22 July 2025) to allow attendees to browse and engage with the content at their convenience. Presenters are responsible for printing and transporting their posters to the venue.
